Melanie

Melanie Kingett has been a teacher, tutor and administrator for the past 13 years.  She originally came to Philadelphia to earn degrees in Biology and Latin before finding her calling with teaching.  Melanie continued her own education while working, obtaining her Secondary Teaching Certification in Biology and M.Ed. She currently manages distance learning, curriculum and teaches Molecular and AP® Biology.  One of Melanie’s most impactful college professors always told her to “maximize the understanding, minimize the memorization.” It was with this guiding principle in mind that Melanie and her husband Brad founded The APsolute RecAP, LLC in February of 2020.  Melanie writes and hosts the Biology Edition podcast and hosts the Chemistry, Physics 1 and U.S. Government Edition podcasts.
